It Was Sunny Once

Our sun is dead
Her legs didn’t work
Too well
In the end

She was put to sleep
Put down
And let down

Outlived many
Like Piper and Redd

Did so much like
Run away
Be part of Halloween
And was a sled dog

For my roller blading
Sister

But that age
Has long passed

A husk after the
Others went
Then saw her own
Dusk through clouds

In her eyes
Goodbye

I wish this didn’t
Have to happen
