Film

More idyllic
Unfortunately kinky
Than the photos on film
You take of me

Of red rivers in my back
And bruises you leave
Of the things we say
When we have a moment

How gorgeous you are
In dim light
Anticipation and tension
Is released

Catch me on film
And let me catch you
With a Canon and
A Polaroid

Fragile little photos
Of the fragile two of us
In bed together
Loving living breathing

Kissing and smiling wide
Looking into each others’
Eyes
Nose-to-nose like eskimos

Friction with each movement
Electricity coursing and
Destroying the tension
Held up in our tendons

These intimate jolts
Release and explode
Into stories to tell
And remember

Supernova film strips
Burning nitro express
Nitrocellulose
Photographs

Us unstripped and unanchored
Sitting free and relaxing
With wills of electric fury
Definitively

Nitro express shot
Through our bodies
And scorching the apprehensions
Of our histories

Making no new era; a constant
To last longer than
The photographs
We take today ever will

Let these loaded hearts
And heavy conversations
Continue weighing us down
And fire like shutter fury
