Lithium Autumn

When dead tree days
Follow rivers of tinder
Branches glowing
And shimmering with
A cloak of frost on
The crowns of
Bloodshot, coppery
Amber leaves
Over lakes of deep
Wine colored spirits

As the clouds shine
A blued pewter
And mirrors off of water
An imperfect indigo

Wintery haze
Of sneaking shards of silver
Hide in the air
As morning mist
To keep beasts at bay

Where an android’s
Mars the image with its
Own explanation

Building temples
And seeing wolves
Where none were

Out of grey it makes
Lines of rainbows as roads
To the cities its eyes

A corrupted
Deep dream
