It was different yesterday
So different

It was yellows and reds
Now it is blues and purples

To what metal may I lend it to
The anodization of my shell

Dipped and glossed
The chips and cracks

The rust left to scar
Girders, rebar, and defile it

To turn it into
This difference

The red shifted
The purple grew bolder

When it rusted, burned and breathed
It turned bluer and more bright

For I owe it to the forgemaster
Who slowly stoked the coals

Rusting color onto my aura
Branding marks onto my shell
