Cracking Dawn

Cracking Dawn

Dawn of neon
Appears to the rock

Which upon it, sat he
Who survived nightfall

Now treated to the pinks
And reds of a rising star

After clouds began to part
And dark skies brightened

The rock’s hues morphed
With the rising wavelength tide

And the man’s face reflected
The photons of the sun

Where fission dominates
And mirrors his glass eyes

There was he between two worlds
The nuclear star and neon planet

With a hammer of dawn rising
To smother the man and the rock
