Onwards with the expansion of Radio Reality City! I have some updates, for once!

Aside from the new Soundcloud venture, I have a couple of new wonderful additions to the RRC armory!

Business first. I’m now on Patreon! As I’m familiar with other avenues of monetization, I’ve decided that this might be the best way to continue providing free content on my website while also being able to make it. While it is a funny little way to sell yourself, I think this will be the best option in the long run. With a $5 a month contribution, you get a new collection of poetry and art and stuff! Consider being a Patron, please, think of reality!

Now that the business is out of the way, let me lay out a plan for what’s going to happen at the station this next month. You may have seen this piece of audio called Paradox that cropped up this last week. This was a pretty big step for me. I have long dreamed of making any kind of music, and to be successful so far in an avenue of ambient noise, I’m happy and humbled to have discovered I have that much in me, at least.

Also… we’ll be getting our wings around here, soon.

I have ordered a DJI Phantom 3 Professional drone with 4K camera capability. Fulfilling a dream I have had for roughly 3 years.

Back when I was a senior in high school, I set up an indiegogo (a rather shitty one) where I essentially begged for the money to buy a DJI Phantom 2. At that time, it was $500 and it felt like I was really reaching for the stars with that price point. I had to come up with a name for the project, so I called it “Skyline Seattle” with the intent to use the drone to capture aerial shots of the emerald city. Funny how we’ve come full circle with that.

With the addition of this powerful device to the creative arsenal, I will be able to do aerial photography around this wonderful state of Somewhere Else. With that, it also comes with videography of Reality City, as well. So I’ve begun to set up the YouTube page for what is to be called the

Reality City Monarch.

With my budding musical interests, and this on the horizon, I can’t wait to show you all what I can do now that I’m at a point where I am able.

Whew, lot of self-promotion going on here, huh? Sorry about that. Onto what this means for you guys who tune in to the station.

So, this site won’t be touched in terms of hosting content. I don’t have nearly enough space to upload 4K videos to wordpress. For full disclosure, I am currently using 10% of my 13 GB I have at my disposal to put content up here. Most of that comes from photography, which I will continue to host directly on the website.

As for everything else, I will be embedding from Soundcloud and YouTube to allow content to be pseudo-hosted on the station. Music, broadcasts, Monarch videos, and all that stuff will stay where it is. So you can subscribe to those outlets to get the real triple dose of Radio Reality City!

Meanwhile, I will keep up with the poetry and everything else here. I’ll start diving into the different divisions of content and make it more easy to parse. Things are slightly crowded here, as is, but I’m going to try to pick it apart for you all. Honestly, the goal is to make everything MORE accessible. Not cloud your head with too many types of STUFF. But 4K photography? That’s coming directly to this site.
