Calcified Fragments

Calcified in bed
Like skeletons
On an old shipwreck

When I wake up
At three in the morning
Holding you tight

Your TV is blankly on
Window is open
Letting the winter air in

Don’t want to move
Disturb your rest
So I enjoy the moments

Until I calcify again

To sleep with my arms
Warmed by your touch
Happy to be careless
