Entombed

Heaping on
Piles of data dirt
Lights are flickering
With the pressure

Glitches and viruses
Infecting it
Lying forgotten
In its case

So many things
Its lens has seen
So many words
Its touch screen sent

All the documents and data
Buried deep

Try to forget
Where its unmarked hollow is

But I mourn the loss
Of what was present
Its lights now dim
With the strain

And the battery drained
To charge never again
To never connect to
A network ever again

Forbidden files
Collecting dust
Like a vast library
Of gigabytes

Almost don’t want to
Open them or know
So its
Buried deep underneath

New models
And updates
That outdate the thing
And its data rots

Forgotten in its grave
