Spillage
This isn’t the first time
The crystal ball fell
And a bone shard shattered,
Snapping and popping
While it rolls and clatters,
Visions within breaking
Again. The sphere
Decomposes on a
Hardwood floor, rolling
Past a cauldron
And scattered scrolls
Written in an
Ancient tongue
As the ball fuzzes
Over and slowly disintegrates.
Chips of enchanted,
Gasping glass puff
With pixie dust,
Caking cowering worms,
Who don’t fight or fuss.
