Big Sky Whales Two

Big Sky Whales Two

They breach out
From clouds

Not disturbing the
Delicate massive masses
Of fluffy filaments
Tethered together
And weakly bonded

But by air and gravity
Defying a downward pull

Instead suspended;
A monochromatic ocean
In a bright blue sky

Where the whale rotors
Turn and whirr
Their exhaust sprays
As the hole in their head

They bellow and breath
To call and communicate
On the radio
With their own kind

And their engines pulse slowly
Yet send shockwaves through
Wires in the airfoil frame
