Razor Ribbon

Razor Ribbon

Shrubs are seen
As razor wire
Punched steel coils
Unclasped
Onto casing soil
Housing
Stems of wires
Planted
Next to metal trunks
Barbed
Tipped garden spires
Stainless
Taproot weeds growing
Convergently
Into one another
Tipped
Terrace of sharpened
Scintillates
Concertina tape connected
Protecting
A vanilla alchemy
Patched
Copse of flowers
And small
Bonsais bordered by tall
Trees
With branches of alloy
Twigs
Of bronze each leaf
Upon them
A metallic concoction
Gorgeous
In its fine garden
Never
To wear or rust
Standing
In a solid melted plot
Or liquefied
Cast iron plant box
Where it shines
Metal petals shimmer
In a patch
Unchanging pines
Vein splined
In a base of brass
And brine
Dug and seeded
In soil
Platinum plated
Salts
Spicing silver vines
Alkaloid lines
Of base and acid
Resisting
Caretaker’s wire
Decaying
Naturally to the pest
Of half-life
Conducting heat
In ultraviolet
Radiation sun rays
Pollenating
Spider wasps
Carry
Shavings
Of
Shedding and flaking
Replicating
And replacing
Plant life
Ever-altering aesthetica
Of razor shrubs
Tungsten rod bundles
Steel bonsai trees
And so many bright iconel
Bloom saplings
