Petrichor wafts past my nose,
As I bury my face in her shoulder,
The smell of rain is a glorious one,
Especially when it comes from her,

Golden tears stop flowing,
A million fears stop growing,
All the harm and hurt goes away,
When she calms me and says ‘It’s okay.’

The warmth in her hands,
Braces and faces me,
Melting away all the pain,
Melding all that’s been,

Her kisses, stopping my thoughts,
Erasing those bad feelings,
Replacing them,
With some I’ve been needing,

I don’t know how I went without her,
It already feels like it’s been forever,
And now I know what I will do,
Is spend a forever with her

She makes me feel at home,
No matter the place,
My home is with her,
And with her, I will stay.
