Tarantula Hawk Sting

Tarantula Hawk Sting

Spider hunters hunt
Out in broad daylight

Every touch is a stinger
On the tip of an
Acid-packed needle

Four thin wings
Before beating

Strolling steps
Not sticking
To tangled webs

The paralyzing power
Of synthesized metals
Dispersing in the body

Taking tensed limbs
Dragged along the soil

It looked so far away
But here it is now
And all there is, is pain

Can’t move, all is futile
All one can do is lay
And experience the burn

Let it course,
Let it flow,
Let it rattle
To the core

Let the core strain
Let eggs be laid
Allow oneself
To self replace

Be prey-shaken
And shell encase
