Red Petal Blood

Red Petal Blood

I bleed flowers
Green veins grow
Brown thorns rise from skin
Rose petal blood splatters

Leaves replace my hair
The sun fills me with sinister light
I root in dirt, flesh filling cracks
Stand up and shout to the sky

I release spores
Infect the air
Black particles of light
Spread, root, and rise

The bloom will do so soon
Volitile buds will disperse
My parasitic children
Casting immortals’ doom
